Overview
The Huánuco Rebellion of 1812 was the second major uprising of the inhabitants of the Viceroyalty of Peru during the long struggle for independence. The Huánuco Rebellion is both unique and representative, as it resulted from the alliance and shared commitment of Creole, mestizo, and indigenous groups in their common goal of achieving freedom.
